INFORMATION about the 4th Event of the AIM Lecture Series:

Profª Elke Feifel (THI) has a strong background in virtual product development. She has been a professor at THI since 2013. Her main focus is on analytical and numerical methods of strength assessment.

In her lecture “Pandemic Driven Ideas” she will give an insight into the results of recent theses addressing issues that arose during the lockdown. She will introduce products and ideas like a laptop stand, a collecting ring for deposit bottles and the need of robots for schooling.

Profª Talita Possamai (UFSC) teaches at UFSC Campus Joinville in areas linked to Aerospace Engineering. She has a doctoral degree from Federal University of Santa Catarina in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree from the same university in Thermal Sciences. Some of her research areas are Space Systems, Numerical Modelling applied to Engineering, Propulsion Systems and Turbomachinery.

Her lecture ” CubeSat? Is it for me? ” will show how access to space is nowadays a feasible and valuable opportunity for universities, start-ups, small/medium companies and government.
