The Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM) is one of the student, faculty, and research mobility programs offered by the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). The program includes a total of 28 participating universities located in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia.
The program aims to contribute to the strengthening and consolidation of higher education in the region, as well as scientific and technological research. AUGM is a consortium of universities that has enabled the creation of a consolidated common academic space for discussing regional challenges.
The program has mobility calls that last one semester, and they generally open in March and September. These calls include financial aid for airfare, and accommodation and meals are provided by the student’s host university.
The requirements for participating in the program may vary depending on the specific call for applications, but regardless of the call, 120 hours of Spanish, verified within the last 2 years, are required. The universities and countries available for exchange will also vary according to the call.
