{"id":130,"date":"2025-03-31T14:15:08","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T17:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tecnologia.ufpr.br\/international\/?p=130"},"modified":"2025-09-21T10:30:50","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T13:30:50","slug":"mitacs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tecnologia.ufpr.br\/international\/2025\/03\/31\/mitacs\/","title":{"rendered":"MITACS\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>MITACS Globalink Research Internship<\/strong> is a Canadian program for students interested in participating in an ongoing research project for 12 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements for participation are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Be a student at a university in Paran\u00e1;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled in a full-time program;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate must be part of a research or extension program\/project;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have proficiency in the language in which the research project is conducted, which can be English or French.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process for participation usually takes place in August. The process works as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate submits a letter of recommendation from a professor and the student&#8217;s CV, including which research project(s) are of interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The professor from the MITACS program selects the student based on the research project of interest and then conducts an interview with the candidate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are several interesting research project options.
